My experience using Clarins Bright Plus Intensive Age-Control Brightening Program has not been phenomenol, but that’s not to say it hasn’t been good. If you’ve been reading the other posts about my melasma removal, then you’re probably wondering on my progress. Although it’s hard to see in this picture I can honestly say that my melasma has improved, but it’s definitely not gone, and that’s ok because I never expected those kinds of results anyway.

Melasma, as far as I know, does not just “go away.” It gets better, worse, lighter, darker, and is something that most of us just have to live with. Having said that, though, I’m willing to try whatever I can in the hopes that I can make it better. And like I said, Clarins Brightening System is not a miracle-worker, but I am seeing progress.
Another bonus to the Clarins system is that its far more product than I anticipated. It says that it is a three-week system, but I’m halfway through my third week and I have quite a bit of product remaining. I think I have another week or two of product so I’ll share my final results with you then.

Sulfur is commonly used in treating acne, rosacea, and dandruff because of its antibacterial, antifungal, and keratolysis properties. The antibacterial portion reduces the amount of bacteria present in the skin’s pores or existing blemishes and keratolysis sluffs off hard skin, like that found in warts and also in pimples.
Sulfur treatments are not as commonly used as they once were, possibly because of the foul odor associated with sulfur, but studies show that it is effective in treating acne. According to the American Academy of Family Physicians, one study showed that sulfur lotion treatments reduced acne by 83 percent after 12 weeks of therapy.
There are many skin care products that contain sulfur; mostly acne spot treatments and masks. Try these Skin Fitness Facts favorites:
Rosacea sufferers should not use sulfur for long periods of time as it can change the color and thin the skin. Speak with an esthetician to make sure all your skin products will improve your skin condition, not harm it.

I came across a post on the blog, Beauty from Head to Toe about the herb seabuckthorn having a fantastic affect on rosacea. Seabuckthorn supplements can be purchased in many health food stores.
