New psoriasis drug more effective, safer

May 17th, 2008

Many sufferers of plaque psoriasis (the most common type of psoriasis) have used the drug cyclosporin because of its effective, short-term effects on the skin condition. With extended use of cyclosporin many suffer from kidney difficulties making this a complicated option for some.

However, a new drug, ISA247, recently underwent its third phase of its clinical trials and the outcome was positive.
