Skin care tips for men
October 29th, 2008
Skin care for men is important for maintaining a healthy glow and also for keeping that facial hair manageable. Here are five sure ways to keep any man’s skin in great shape.
1. Everyone needs to cleanse their skin in the morning and at night. Depending on your skin type you can select a variety that is for acne-prone, oily, or dry skin. Avoid anything that is too drying and also avoid products that smell too good because it could be drying. Musk is nice, but remember that your cleanser is a soap not a cologne.
2. If you shave, now is the time to do it. As you probably already know a shaving cream will help prevent razor burn and breakouts. Again, use something that is moisturizing and doesn’t contain too many perfumes.
3. If you have troublesome oily skin now is a good time to use an astringent to eliminate extra oil or to exfoliate if you would like to add a little radiance to your face.
4. Moisturize. This is likely to be the hardest tip for any man. Moisturizing is not for sissies. Rather, moisturizing keeps your skin soft and clear. Once you get into a routine you’ll immediately notice the difference and be glad.
5. If you have trouble following a balanced diet with the required amount of fruits and vegetables, take a multi-vitamin every day. Although this isn’t as good as eating oranges and spinach, you’ll at least consume some of those skin healthy nutrients you need to look your best.
