Just because your skin is oily doesn’t mean it couldn’t use a little moisturizer every day. Moisturizing promotes healthy skin regeneration and may also help your skin become less oily over time.
It’s best to moisturize right after you wash your skin. It’s in this moment that your skin has been stripped of dirt and natural oils. Use a pea-sized amount and no more. Your skin can only absorb a limited amount of moisture so there is no need to over do it.
There are a number of moisturizers designed for those with oily skin. Typically they are non-comedogenic and won’t clog your pores. If you have oily skin, try Skin Fitness Facts’ favorite, BABOR Re-Solution Fluid.

I recently bought the Clarisonic Skin Care System and never have I been more pleased with a skin care purchase.
The device is battery operated and is small enough that it doesn’t take over my bathroom counter. All I do is press the “on” button and gently move the rotating brush across my face. Using vibration the Clarisonic removes dirt and make-up and clears pores in a way that my fingertips or wash cloth just can’t do.
Before using the product I was little fearful that the rotating brush would be rough and hurt my skin. But it turned out to be the exact opposite. The brush felt great on my skin as it spun around to slough off all that dead skin and to massage my face. It is gentle enough for sensitive skin, but effective enough that it aids in reducing wrinkles and fine lines.
The thing I like about the Clarisonic device is that it allows the product I apply to my skin later to be absorbed better. I spend all this money on moisturizers and sun blocks to stay beautiful, but the skin is only able to absorb so much. With the Clarisonic I get more bang for my buck.
Clarisonic is the same company that makes the rotating tooth brush that every one loves so much, so it’s no wonder that this product is equally as well-liked. I highly recommend the product, and I also suggest you purchase it through SkinStore.com. You’ll get free shipping and free samples if you do.

I can’t believe it’s almost that time already. Shopping, gift wrapping, Christmas tree decorating, and cold weather are on their way–and for some of us–it’s already here.
Since skin fitness is our game we wanted to share with you our most recent list of favorites. Maybe you’ll be inspired to buy one of these items for yourself (Happy Hannakuh to you…who said you can’t give yourself some well-deserved gifts?) or you’ll find something perfect for a friend or family member.
Whatever you buy, just be sure to cash in on SkinStore.com’s free US shipping on all orders over $49 and the offer to save 10% on all automatic shipments.
1. Clarisonic Skin Care System – My skin has never felt so clean or so soft. It’s serious exfoliating action is not too drying and is gentle enough for even those with delicate skin. I highly recommend this product and so does my esthetician. She says she can’t keep them on the shelves.
2. Murad Waterproof Sunblock SPF 30 – Of all the skin care products that I’ve tried, I’m convinced that Murad’s pomegranate line and this sun block has done the most in reducing the appearance of my melasma. I highly recommend it.
3. Ole Henriksen All Purpose Aloe Vera Gel – Very few products are as soothing as your basic, ol’ aloe vera. Just like the mandatory little black dress in your wardrobe, aloe vera is a must-have in your medicine cabinet. On a daily basis you can use it beneath your moisturizer to lock in moisture and for irritated spots use an unlimited amount to heal and soothe.

4.Dr. Brandt Antioxidant Water Booster Original – I cannot preach enough about the importance of antioxidants or the importance of daily vitamins for your skin fitness. Dr. Brandt is an excellent choice for both because of its liquid form (your body absorbs liquid vitamins better) and its high-potency. Protect your skin from harmful free radicals to prevent lines, sagging, and discoloration.
5. Philosophy The Recipe Box – Thanks to Oprah everyone loves Philosophy. Oprah endorsed or not, Philosophy has some great smelling products, and this gift-set is no exception.

6. Amazing Cosmetics Velvet Mineral Powder Foundation Fair – Mineral make-up is all the rage these days…and for good reason. Nothing provides a shimmery glow like minerals. To boot, there are natural sun block qualities, which is essential to skin fitness.
